What We Loved: Four Seasons Mexico City offers a peaceful escape from the bustling capital, with a lush courtyard, refined dining at Il Becco, and the acclaimed cocktail bar 50 Mils. Exceptional service, curated experiences, and thoughtful room details elevate the stay beyond the typical city hotel.

What We Didn’t Love:

The pool’s visibility from the gym may not be ideal for those seeking privacy, and weekend noise from Fifty Mils can carry into nearby rooms. Light sleepers should request a quieter location when booking.

How to book:: Four Seasons Mexico City participates in the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program. Booking through Prince Collection unlocks exclusive perks such as complimentary breakfast, resort credits, and potential room upgrades – all at no additional cost to you.

Four Seasons Mexico City – About the Property

Built in the style of a colonial hacienda, Four Seasons Mexico City wraps around a lush interior courtyard.

Stepping inside felt like entering another world: tall palms, manicured gardens, and the gentle sound of the central fountain create an instant sense of calm. It’s a private sanctuary cleverly hidden from the city’s buzz.

The hotel strikes a perfect balance between elegance and local character. During our visit, the lobby featured a contemporary art exhibit, including diamond-encrusted Stormtrooper helmets, a reminder that the Four Seasons doesn’t shy away from playful luxury.

Four Seasons Mexico City – Location

Situated on the iconic Paseo de la Reforma, the hotel is perfectly placed between Mexico City’s financial core and cultural districts like Roma Norte and Condesa. Museums, galleries, and Chapultepec Park are all within a short drive or Uber ride.

Despite being in a high-traffic area, the hotel’s inward-facing layout provides total seclusion from the city noise.

You’ll also find neighbours like the Ritz-Carlton and InterContinental along the same stretch, confirming this area as the city’s luxury hotel zone.

While you won’t earn or redeem points through a loyalty program, you can still come out ahead by paying with the right travel credit card.

The Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege Card* offers 3x Scene+ points on travel, plus no foreign transaction fees, making it a solid pick for this booking.

Another great option is the Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card. While it doesn’t have a direct bonus on travel, its high earning rate on daily purchases like groceries and dining makes it easy to rack up points, which can later be used to offset travel expenses.

Lastly, the BMO VIPorter World Elite®* Mastercard®* offers 2x VIPorter points on hotel purchases, making it a good option for Porter loyalists. Just keep in mind it charges foreign transaction fees.

Four Seasons Mexico City – The Check-In Experience

From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our arrival was anticipated, and the check-in team made sure everything was ready. The process was seamless and welcoming, complete with a walkthrough of the property’s amenities.

The lobby is spacious yet intimate, with plush seating and curated artwork lining the walls. Despite the hotel’s central location, the experience felt tranquil and unhurried—just as it should at this price point.

Four Seasons Mexico City – Premier Room

The Premier Room overlooked the serene courtyard, allowing us to enjoy the open-air garden view from a Juliet-style balcony. The large French doors let in fresh air, and we appreciated not needing the A/C during the cooler hours.

The room’s design blends subtle Mexican motifs with a neutral, calming palette. The bed was supremely comfortable, and the welcome amenity—a handcrafted chocolate tree on an edible chocolate plate—was a fun and tasty nod to the hotel’s branding.

The bathroom was modern, well-lit, and stocked with high-quality amenities. Our only critique was the slightly outdated, non-wall-mounted TV, which didn’t match the room’s otherwise polished aesthetic.

Guests sensitive to noise should ask for a room away from Fifty Mils, as it can get lively on weekends.

Four Seasons Mexico City – Dining

Il Becco

The hotel’s upscale Italian restaurant, Il Becco, was a culinary highlight. Tableside cocktail preparation added a touch of theatre, but the real star was the truffle pasta—rich, aromatic, and expertly executed.

Service was refined yet friendly, and the ambience struck a balance between formal and relaxed.

Zanaya

Breakfast at Zanaya combines buffet convenience with à la carte elegance. You’ll find a wide range of options from traditional bacon and eggs to regional favourites like tamales and chilaquiles.

The fruit and yogurt bowls were standout items, and the early morning complimentary coffee service (5–6am) is perfect for guests heading out on tours.

OMA

The hotel’s lesser-known sushi bar was a pleasant surprise.

Our chef prepared fresh cuts of fish and torched dishes on the spot, omakase-style. It’s a small, intimate space that caters to guests looking for a lighter, more interactive dining option.

Bar: Fifty Mils

Named one of the World’s 50 Best Bars, 50 Mils lives up to the hype. The design is sleek and contemporary, with hidden nooks for privacy and larger tables for groups.

We sampled inventive cocktails alongside perfectly seasoned steak tacos. Bartenders were genuinely passionate about their craft, adding a layer of storytelling to every drink.

Four Seasons Mexico City – Experiences

The concierge team at Four Seasons Mexico City can organize memorable excursions with ease.

Two notable experiences stood out.

Teotihuacan Hot Air Balloon Ride

This early-morning adventure was arranged through the hotel. Guests are picked up by a private driver, driven to the Teotihuacan Valley, and launched into the skies above ancient pyramids just as the sun rises.

Champagne and a light breakfast cap off the flight. A bucket-list moment for many.

Xochimilco Ecological Reserve with Arca Tierra

This was perhaps the most enriching part of our stay. We joined Arca Tierra for a sunrise visit to Xochimilco’s floating gardens.

After a peaceful boat ride through the canals, we were treated to a farm-to-table brunch made entirely with produce from the chinampas.

A remarkable way to connect with Mexico City’s agricultural roots.

Conclusion

Four Seasons Mexico City combines classic elegance with local soul. Whether you’re sipping a cocktail at one of the world’s best bars, enjoying a sunrise over ancient ruins, or simply unwinding in the lush courtyard, the experience is equal parts refined and grounded.

It’s not just a hotel. It’s a base for exploring the best of Mexico City while enjoying the high-touch service and amenities the Four Seasons brand is known for. A standout choice for travellers seeking luxury without isolation.
