Create Custom Lipsticks at MYX Blend Bar
Hey ladies! I am so excited to share with you a cool spot in both Dallas & Houston, Texas called MYX Blend Bar. This will be the perfect spot for a girls day, girls night or a great way to end an amazing spa day! I custom made two shades which is available for purchase: Fiercely Aubrey which is a lipstick duplication of a sold out shade and Cinister Pink!
WHAT IS MYX BLEND BAR?
If you have been search for the perfect shade of lipstick for your lip tone and skin tone, you can make your own custom lipsticks and glosses at MYX Blend Bar! No need to spend hours and money trying on and buying different lipsticks to find the perfect shade. Just create one! MYX Blend Bars are located in West Village Dallas and in Houston, Texas, you can work with a MYXologist to create the perfect lipstick blend or lipgloss. You also can duplicate a discontinued to shade. This is what I did both creating a new lipstick and recreate a discontinued from Stila Cosmetics.

MYX BLEND BAR: THE PROCESS
So the hardest part of the process is deciding what shade you want to create. If you are like me, you will probably want to create 5 different shades. What is so cool about this process is you can share with the MYXologist a photo of a shade that you want and they are skilled enough to begin to add the colors together so you can mix it.
For my new shade creation, I described the shade that because I did not have a photo. I wanted which a pink shade with a hint of coral. Once you know what shade you want, she will begin to pour the colors on a blend card. She will add a base mixture and you get to take over and mix away. If the shade looks off, she can always adjust by adding the appropriate colors.
The other cool thing is you can add different additives such as lip plumper, vitamins, moisturizers, anti- aging, glitter, fragrances, SPF and essential oils. She then takes the mixture and puts it in a jar and melts it. If it’s a gloss, she puts it in a tube. If it is lipstick, it into a lipstick mold and VIOLA! For a duplication, it is best to have a sample that old shade like I did. We scrapped from the tube and created a perfect match that you can see in my IG story here.
