Alcohol can also play a major roll in sleep disruption, depending on the amount consumed and sugar content added. So, it’s always best to try to avoid alcohol before sleeping, especially when traveling.

Keep your bed away from home for just that, sleeping. Your mind and body connects your bedroom with sleep. If this is not possible, then try to follow the steps listed above. When you become relaxed, comfortable and drowsy feeling, then lights out!

This certainly is something the majority of us would definitely consider as; obvious. We need to be comfortable in order to doze. So unless you can put yourself in as comfortable environment as possible, your chances of getting a good night’s slumber are greatly reduced.

Also, try to avoid large meals shortly before trying to sleep. Alcohol and a full stomach filled with ingredients that could keep you awake and alert, should obviously be avoided.
