It doesn’t matter what time of year you plan on visiting the city, with the endless number of; Resort Hotels and various other accommodations to choose from, there are always outstanding {vacation package deals} throughout the year.
This especially so, if you choose to visit in the summer months, when it’s hot! 🥵
We’ve enjoyed road trip camping vacations in past years, traveling from our home in Western Canada, to various destinations in the States including; Oregon, California, Arizona and Nevada.
There are some excellent RV Parks conveniently located in and around the city to camp at. This makes your stay in Las Vegas even more affordable and fun. Especially when traveling with your kids!
Las Vegas Family Vacations – Because Of The Food
One of the great things to do in the city is attending the many – Amazing Buffet Restaurants. Whether at the beautiful themed resorts on “The Strip” or any other Resort Hotels, you can expect to find some superb buffets, and at very affordable prices.
After all, it’s one of the most popular ways of attracting people into their resorts, and to spend more time enjoying everything they have to offer.
If you are a foodie, then Vegas offers some amazing dining options. Whether it’s affordable buffet style dining, to first class restaurants show casing some of the world’s leading chefs, it’s all here in Las Vegas!
One of our favorite hidden gems we discovered just off “The Strip,” is the Ellis Island Casino. They have a tiny restaurant in the corner of their casino, that has the best BBQ dinner, along with excellent selections of Craft Beer!
Just one of the many outstanding places to discover, for affordable dining in Vegas.
Las Vegas Family Vacation Attractions – Hidden Gems
Did you know that Vegas has a thriving Chinatown, which is located just minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip
Spring Mountain Road offers excellent; Asian cuisine, and a place to find unique gifts from every part of the continent. If you love Asian food, there are excellent restaurants along this street that specialize in;
Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Mongolian dishes, that are both affordable and delicious!
So for a special night out dining with the family, consider visiting Chinatown!
Shopping Galore In Las Vegas Nevada
Vegas offers the highest concentration of high-end boutiques and retail stores, to be found most anywhere in the world. You can find; Tiffany, Prada, Armani and many more designer stores for the more sophisticated shopper.
Many of these high end retailers often carry exclusive items, that you won’t find elsewhere. For the more bargain shopper, there are two large destination outlet malls, that are worth the visit, if you love shopping.
The Las Vegas Premium Outlets and The Fashion Outlets Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Family Vacation Attractions – Shows & Rides
All of the major hotels seem to offer a themed ride or family entertainment of some sort these days. Of course, this is certainly a way to attract families to stay and enjoy their resorts.
From the famous rides at the; Stratosphere Resort, to attending a live {Blue Man Group Show}, there are always fun things to do during the day and evening with your family. We attended the very popular {Blue Man Group} show at the Luxor Hotel seasons ago.
This is an amazing family friendly live show, definitely not to be missed!
The Cirque du Soleil franchise has numerous live shows, outstanding performers as the famous {Terry Fator} and many more. All great live shows for younger audiences.
Enjoy magic, dance and family comedy shows that everyone will enjoy!

Family Things To Do In Las Vegas – Off The Strip
Hoover Dam & The Grand Canyon
These are two; “Must Do“ attractions, within easy reach of the city and definitely should be added in your travel plans. We loved visiting and camping in Grand Canyon National Park and taking the fully guided tour of; Hoover Dam.

As mentioned above, our family love to include a stock car race while visiting Vegas. Attending the NASCAR Races at {Las Vegas Motor Speedway} is absolutely amazing!
