Barcelona, the vibrant capital of Catalonia, is a city where land meets the sea, where old meets new and where Catalan tradition meets fresh, creative energy. Located along the northeastern coast of Spain, this Mediterranean city boasts a unique experience with its stunning Gothic Quarter, iconic Gaudí masterpieces, and sunny beaches. Culture vultures and foodies alike take to these streets every day. From authentic paella to the colorful Park Güell, this place hits all 5 senses and then some. The hotels alone are museums of their own, and here are my top four favorites.

The Arts Hotel, a Ritz Carlton Property

This stunning Ritz Carlton contemporary hotel is a beach resort oasis. I can tell you first hand, this place feels like an ~exhale~. From the unmatched, panoramic views from each of its 483 guestrooms, suites and duplex luxury apartments to the beautiful blend of the authentic Mediterranean lifestyle, this is the place to be for an ideal mix of sea and city. The property is currently undergoing renovations that will be completed in 2026 – the Arts Hotel is already a dream so this will make it *that* much better. Chef’s kiss!

I always love the Ritz Carlton for their family offerings. The Arts Hotel has a kids club, will arrange babysitting for parents night out, and will guarantee connecting rooms upon check in. The suites and apartment penthouses are ideal for any traveling family. The team here goes above and beyond to create a special experience from start to finish.

The Arts Hotel is perfect for any guest looking for top tier service, resort vibes and pool days, along with the Ritz Carlton family experience, and a fantastic mix of sea and city. Each guest will be within walking distance to the city center of Barcelona while also having easy access to the beautiful beaches.

Serras Barcelona

History, art, and luxurious comfort come together seamlessly at Serras in Barcelona’s celebrated Gothic Quarter. From check in to check out, the attention to detail at Serras is something special. This hotel is a boutique option with 28 large rooms and a fantastic dining space. The rooftop terrace is INSANE as it is overlooking the Marina Port Vell and makes for the perfect spot to enjoy the day by the pool. Serras welcomes you with a trendy atmosphere, top tier amenities and dedicated personal service for a truly memorable experience inside the first studio of Pablo Picasso on vibrant Barrio Gótico.

There is something so wonderful about the people at Serras Barcelona. The warm welcome, personalized check in and stunning rooftop make for an unforgettable, comfortable stay. With only 28 rooms, the experience of staying at Serras feels like coming home.

The Serras Hotel Barcelona is great for any guest looking for an intimate environment, exceptional service at every turn, and a location in the city center.

The Mandarin Oriental Barcelona

Offering one of the most exclusive accommodations in Barcelona, the Mandarin Oriental has a perfect address on the city’s famous Passeig de Gràcia, near the Casa Batlló by Gaudi. Located in an elegant mid 20th century building that was once a bank, the hotel has 120 rooms that blend history, art, and luxury amenities for a contemporary, elegant feel. From Michellin dining to family suites and connecting rooms, the MO has it all! The environment is welcoming and comfortable yet chic and elevated.

This hotel is great for any guest looking for the best location, mix of family offerings and elevated experiences, along with fantastic city views. The rooftop pool was a highlight for me! We had a delicious lunch overlooking the city of Barcelona and I must say, it was a 10/10 afternoon.

Vividora Kimpton Hotel

Each Kimpton property boasts a unique name, a nod to their location, identity and experience. The Vividora story is one of my favorites as Vividora is a female embodiment that represents someone who enjoys life to the fullest.

…And I didn’t know I could love this hotel any more!

This Vividora Kimpton is in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and offers a modern and vibrant hub for both locals and travelers alike. With the 156 residential-style guestrooms and suites, the hotel has a small feel and stunning architecture in a historical Barcelona design.

This hotel is perfect for any guest that is looking for easy access to Las Ramblas along with a modern hotel experience.
